When it comes to Salmon, Winter King is as good as it gets! Even without the 'Winter' title, King Salmon is the most delicious of the Alaskan salmon. With the highest oil content of all Alaskan salmon, it delivers a rich flavor that's perfect for grilling, baking, broiling, or roasting. But be warned - some Winter King Salmon have such a high oil content that it may catch fire while grilling. We are not responsible for the fires caused by delicious accidents.

Thaw before cooking.

As a rule of thumb, you should cook your salmon until a fork inserted into the middle and twisted causes the fish to flake, and the fish no longer looks translucent.

Sometimes people ask, 'How much should I get?' It really all depends on how much you like salmon. But, as a general rule of thumb, if you'd eat an 8-oz beef steak, go with an 8-oz piece of salmon. If you prefer larger steaks, or if you're serving multiple people, or if you just want to stock up, add up your expected consumption per person. Easy.
